Radiologist Job Description

Radiologists are doctors who use x-rays, ultrasounds and MRIs, among other technologies, to diagnose and treat patients. Radiologists must first decide what type of imaging is needed to diagnose the patient. Then, radiologists must interpret the images. Finally, radiologists must recommend treatment or further exams. Radiologists may work in an array of clinical facilities, including hospitals, nursing homes and clinics. Work can be stressful at times, and the hours can be erratic. Radiologists can make anywhere from $100,000 to $400,000 per annum.
