Fireman Job Description
The term ‘fireman’ was a term used in the past for what is now called a ‘firefighter’. As more and more women become firefighters, the term ‘fireman’ has become outdated. With this said, a fireman shares the same job description as a firefighter, and is essentially the same job in all but name. Firemen respond to fires, explosions and other emergency situations and work unusual hours, usually in shifts of 10-hour days or 14-hour nights. Firemen can earn from $30,000 to $80,000.
