What was the Longest Field Goal in the NFL?

The longest field goal in the history of the NFL is currently tied between Tom Dempsey and Jason Elam at 63 yards. Tom Dempsey made his field-goal in the match of New Orleans versus Detroit on November 8, 1970. Jason Elam more recently made an equally long field-goal in Denver versus Jacksonville on October 25, 1998.
