Sears is an American departmental stores chain founded by Richard Warren Sears and Alvah Curtis Roebuck in the 19th century. Sears is officially known as Sears, Roebuck and Co. and operates more than 250 franchises all over U.S. The average cost to set up a Sears franchise is around $380,400. The initial franchise fee is in between $5,000 to $95,000 with a royalty fee of 8% on annual revenues. The term of agreement is for 10 years and a renewal fee around $2,500 is charged annually.
