What is the Average Cost of Aluminum Ore per gram/pound/ton? Average Aluminum Ore Price

The Aluminum Ore from which aluminum is extracted is known as bauxite. The process of extracting the aluminum is known as electrolysis. The first step is to convert the ore into pure aluminum oxide, and then this is electrolyzed in a solution called molten cryolite. Pure aluminum isn’t so strong and it is usually alloyed with copper, magnesium and silicon. Aluminum Ore is mainly found in West Indies, Guinea and Australia. The average price of crude, dry Aluminum Ore is around $37/ton.
