Empanadas is a stuffed bread or pastry baked in many countries of America and Europe. It is made by folding a dough or bread patty around the filling. The stuffing can consist of many things including meat or vegetables. Dough is made of flour, salt, baking powder, peanut or vegetable oil, water. Filling comprises browned ground beef or cooked shredded chicken, onion, olive oil, green pepper, garlic cloves, fresh cilantro, green olives, jalapeno, tomato paste and annatto. These ingredients are cooked in vegetable oil. Per serving serves with 330 calories, total fat 14 grams, and total carbohydrates 13 grams.
