What is Tabasco Sauce? Ingredients and Uses

Tabasco sauce is a type of popular hot sauce produced in the United States. To create Tabasco sauce, the process is started by mashing freshly harvested Tabasco chili peppers and aging them in oak barrels with salt for three years. This mixture is then strained of seeds and skins. The strained mash is combined with vinegar and stirred for Classic Tabasco sauceClassic Tabasco sauceabout 30 days before being bottled. Tabasco sauce has seen popular use as a seasoning for a wide variety of foods, particularly fried foods such as fish and french fries. Tabasco sauce can also be used in many other ways including on top of pizza and meat. Tabasco sauce is available in many parts of the world, but most extensively in the United States.
