What is Spelt? Uses and Health Benefits of Spelt

Official name of Spelt is Tritium. It was found to exist since 5000 B.C and was originated in Iran. It is often used as a feed grain for animals. It became famous as a dietary grain due to its nutty taste, high protein content and rich nutritional value. It is similar to wheat in appearance but contrasts on the bases of husk which is tough and protects the nutrient stores. Protein in Spelt is easier to digest. It lowers the risk of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes and reduces migraine attacks
