What is Devil’s Claw Used For? Health Benefits and Side Effects of Devil’s Claw in Food

Devil’s Claw is a herb and has several health benefits including treatment of atherosclerosis, arthritis, gout, backache, muscle pain, tendonitis, chest pain, digestive upsets, heartburn, fever and headache. It is also used for difficulty in child birth, menstrual problems, kidney and bladder problems, anorexia and allergic reactions. It can also be applied to skin injuries as it promotes healing. Most common side effect is diarrhea. Other side effects include nausea, vomiting, headache, tinnitus, anorexia and loss of taste. It can also cause menstrual problems, allergic reactions and fluctuations in blood pressure.
