What is Black Rice? Uses and Health Benefits of Black Rice

Black rice is a variety of rice cultivated in Asia. It is sold as unmilled rice as the black husk of the rice is very rich in dietary fiber. The unusual color makes it an exotic addition to any dessert and the plus point is its high nutritional value. It tastes great when served in combination to fresh fruits like mangoes and leeches. The natural color of the rice will dye foods added to it. It has a rich, slightly sweet, nutty flavor. It carries a variety of valuable vitamins and minerals. It helps to relieve constipation and regulates gut motility. It isn’t fattening at all.
