What is Ablutophobia? Symptoms, Causes and Treatment for Ablutophobia

Ablutophobia is caused when a person suffers from mental trauma in a situation when he/she is in direct contact with bathing, cleaning or washing. It is seen mainly in women and children. Symptoms of the condition are irregular heartbeat, trauma, nausea, sweating. Panic is the most prominent symptom of this condition. Efficacy of the treatment depends on commitment and cooperation of the patient. The patient is treated by exposure to situations that he fears. Initially this will worsen the situation but the patient will improve with time.
