What are the alternatives to YouTube?

YouTube has an enormous selection of readily accessible streaming videos. The only problem is that the quality isn’t very good, and the video selection is missing some important stuff. Luckily, there are numerous high-quality alternatives to choose from. Megavideo is perhaps the best of these, but has a 72-minute time limit Smotri has lots of videos and fast bufferingSmotri has lots of videos and fast bufferingthat can be really annoying. However, there are some ways to get around this. Some other excellent alternatives to YouTube are Zshare, Divx Stage, Ninjavideo, Smotri, Hulu, and Fancast. You can also try Wisevid, Tudou, Veoh, Youku, and Ouou. These are all video hosting sites just like YouTube but a lot of times it’s very difficult to actually find videos on these sites. The best way to do this is using video linking websites such as: Project Free TV, TV Shack, Surf the Channel,,, and Sidereel. An even better way is to use the video search engine called OVGuide, that searches through all of these sites. You should also check out our guide to fixing out of sync audio in online videos.

Downloading and streaming copyright material is illegal in many countries: you should not do this. Please only use these tips for finding legal videos. Also please be careful on these sites as some of them have malicious spyware. Use anti-virus software and a secure web browser.
