The Average Salary of Adjunct Professors
Usually, the professors who are working as a part time faculty, known as adjunct professors, do get lower salary when compared to the regular professors. These adjunct professors are equal to the regular tutors in all aspects but their salary is not the same what they get. This is because the adjunct professors work on part time basis and never allotted the employment roll and also called as guest lecturers. The adjunct professors do work for both government and private colleges and hence they are flexible for teaching. They get salary on average of about $49,000 per year without any benefits. Their academic skills are usually on par with the regular professors and would not differ on any aspect. Nowadays this kind of job has been spreading like a wild fire with lower salary.
