Is Roast Beef Good For You?

Roast beef can be quite good for you if it is a lean cut and will provide you with a great source of Vitamin B12, zinc, selenium, and protein. It is an important cold-weather meal, especially when served with potatoes, carrots and onions. Also, it goes well with wine. While roast beef is essentially prepared as a main meal, the leftovers are often served with sandwiches. It is also good for bones and teeth. Roast beef is rich in iron. The US is one of the world’s four large consumers of beef (along with the European Union, Brazil and the People’s Republic of China). On a per capita basis, Americans eat 40.2 kg annually.
