How much does a Passport Cost? Passport Book and Card Prices in 2010

The cost of a passport book for an adult is $75 in 2010. An adult passport card costs $20. If you have never had a passport book or card before then you must pay an initial execution fee of $25 for the first time. Applicants under the age of 16 receive a slight discount: $60 for a passport book and $10 for a passport card, with the same initial $25 execution fee. If you pay an additional $60 you can receive expedited service which will get your passport in 2 to 3 weeks. There is also an additional $15 fee for overnight delivery service and a $60 fee for file searching in the event that an applicant cannot present evidence of citizenship. The fee for having your picture taken is generally an additional $15, but may vary between passport facilities.
