How To Become a Psychologist: Education Requirements
The education requirements for becoming a psychologist varies from one state to another. The federal government also has different requirements which apply as well. In some states it requires a five-year specialist’s degree, where as there are states that accept a Master’s degree and one full year of internship. The requirement of the federal government, however, is only a 4-year b s with a major in psychology. While those with a bachelor’s degree can only assist a practicing psychologist, a doctoral degree gives necessary qualification to be employed as a licensed counseling or clinical psychologist.
