How To Become a Medical Examiner: Education Requirements
If there is one field in education that continues to witness intense competition for admission, then it is the medical field. The minimum education required for entry into medical school is 3 years of college. Following medical school, almost all MDs enter a residency graduate medical education in any specialty. It requires 8 years of medical education altogether after high school to become a medical examiner. This includes 4 years of undergraduate schooling and another 4 years of medical schooling. This is followed by 3 to 8 years of internship and residency, depending upon the specialty selected. A few medical schools offer the undergraduate and medical school program combined for a period of 6 years.
