How Much Does a RPN Make Per Year? Average RPN Salary
There is a high demand for registered practical nurses (RPN) in all types of health care centers, especially hospitals. They are paid either on a monthly basis or at hourly rates. Sacramento (California) and Baton Rouge (Louisiana) are the two cities in the US that offer an especially pay to RPNs. However, salaries vary depending on many factors including the city or state where they work, their experience, certification, and hospital setting. The average annual salary of an RPN is $55,000. An RPN performs duties such as taking blood samples, administering medication and giving health education. Registered practical nurses differ from registered nurses (RN) in many manners. The striking difference is that the former can only administer medicines to the patients, while the latter has the right to give medicines after completely assessing a patient.
