A bricklayer earns about $50,000 annually. Their income differs based on certain factors such as experience and job location. A bricklayer’s basic job is to lay bricks to build walls and various other structures. They also repair existing structures. Bricklayers are expected to be able to work from a certain height and lift a certain amount of weight, besides being able to work with refractory material. A bricklayer also works with concrete, tile, marble and terra cotta. A bricklayer uses many tools such as trowels, rick hammers, chisels, levels and rulers.
