Fastest Way to Cool a Cake

The fastest way to cool a cake and to make sure it doesn’t get stuck in the cooking pan is to remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in its pan for 10 to 15 minutes. If possible, set the cake in its pan on a rack so that air can pass underneath it. Then remove the cake from its pan by flipping the pan over onto the serving plate. Leave out on the counter near a cool window for about 20 minutes and you will have a cooled cake.
