Radiation is definitely not a healthy thing for your body. Almost all forms of it can cause cancer, birth defects, and other serious problems. A microwave has only that little glass window between you and the radiation that’s going to work on your food. While no studies have shown conclusively that microwaves cause cancer or other health risks, it’s better to be safe than sorry. An even better idea is to wait in another room while your food heats up as the power of radiation is greatly reduced when going through solid objects such as walls.
