Best Way to Cook Acorn Squash

The best way to cook acorn squash is quite simple. Take a casserole dish (one that can be microwaved) and put 1 ½ inches of water in it. Take the cut squash halves and place them in the water with the open side down. Poke fork holes in the squash, and microwave it on high for about 20 minutes. Drain the squash. Add 4 tablespoons of butter or margarine and 4 table spoons of brown sugar. Add salt and pepper to taste. Now broil the squash for 5 minutes, mix well and serve.
