Average CEO Salary 2011
With the US economy gradually getting back on track and business conditions improving fast, chief executive officers (CEOs) have started earning higher salaries, along with attractive bonuses and other incentives. In fact, the bonuses constitute more of total direct compensation. CEO salaries are witnessing a 2 to 3% increase in salaries in 2011 over salaries of the previous year. The average corporate CEO earns in the range of $650,000 to $700,000. While a starting CEO in an average-sized company earns $275,000, those employed by big firms may earn as high as $900,000 annually.
